📘 Social Work
Central's social work program utilizes strengths-based and relational understandings that respect and enhance the dignity and worth of all people. Reflective practices and collaborative activities that promote critical thinking and self awareness are fundamental to our philosophy of teaching and learning.
📢 Strategic Communication
In Strategic Communication, students combine theory, research, social media, new technologies, and applied field experience to prepare our students to thrive in the 21st century workforce.
Students will examine organizational communication and public relations case studies, work on campaigns, and undertake projects.
📚 Management and Organization
The Management and Organization Department prepares students for the managerial dimensions of roles they will play in their careers in business, government, and non-profit organizations, as well as students as students for graduate study. The program provides a foundation in management theory and practices. Graduates can expect to pursue careers in such diverse areas as human resources and personnel management, small business management, international management, not-for-profit management, or other management-oriented program interests that are designed by student and faculty adviser consultation.
📚 Management Information Systems
The Management Information Systems (MIS) program prepares graduates for advanced graduate study and careers in organizations as information systems specialists focusing in the areas of application programming, data base administration, information systems management, and systems analysis and design. The program emphasizes the importance of information as an organizational resource to be managed for the generation of timely, quality information for business decision making.
📚 Marketing
The Marketing Department at Central provides academic courses, programs, experiences, and opportunities relevant to the theory and practice of marketing. We prepare students for the professional, business workforce. The faculty participate in scholarly research and community engagement activities and consult with local businesses and government agencies. In several classes, Marketing majors serve as consultants to local businesses and non-profit agencies.

Students will learn theoretical and critical approaches to media content and systems.
The major also prepares students to create their own media content including films, documentaries, and multimedia packages through traditional and emerging technologies
📚 Accounting
The accounting program prepares its graduates for professional careers in public, corporate, and governmental accounting, and for advanced graduate study in accounting. The program provides the background necessary in areas of accounting such as financial reporting, auditing, taxation, cost management, budgeting, accounting information systems, and management advisory services.
⚖ Criminology
Criminology is a growing field with many employment opportunities at local, state, and federal levels. Our program offers a variety of courses to help students understand theories of crime and the function of the criminal justice system. Our internship program provides students with hands-on experience working in a criminal justice related agency. The purpose of the Baccalaureate degree is to prepare students to enter a profession upon graduation or pursue advanced degrees. Our students have obtained employment in positions related to law enforcement, courts, corrections, and non-profit organizations.

📍 Graphic and Information Design
The Department of Design prepares students for entry into the complex and interconnected world of design practice by providing an advanced learning environment for the study of Graphic and Information Design. Students gain fluency in traditional and digital media, emerging technologies, state-of-the-art applications, and acquire a strong foundation in the history and theory of design. The Design Faculty is comprised of professionals with backgrounds, experience, and currency in Graphic Design and Design related fields. The Design Curriculum explores the wide spectrum of media in two- and three-dimensions, video, film, and web design. The program encourages innovation, design thinking, critical analysis, and effective communications skills in a challenging and collegial academic environment.
